Kiteboarding Spots:

St Maarten has some great kiteboarding spots to offer, from French side to Dutch side. Take a look below, rig your gear and explore!

Orient Bay:

Orient Bay (or Baie Orientale in French) is the longest beach of the french side of St Maarten. There, you have a wide space to kitesurf.

This spot offer a constant wind cause of the exposition east. You can find on the right of the spot a reef where you can find some good waves easy to surf.

Down wind from this reef you can work on your best tricks cause of flat and turquoise water , between turtles and stingrays.

Take care as you are downwind from Green Caye (small island in the middle of the bay) there is a small area where the wind could be gusty. Just don’t forget to cross it with a hight kite and don’t stop it ;)

Nettle Bay, lagoon side:

This lagoon is located between the french and the dutch side of St Maarten. Its flat waters make it perfect for kiteboarding lessons.


Nettle Bay, Caribbean Sea side:

The Caribbean side of Nettle Bay is an huge playground perfect for freeriding for hours. 


Galion Beach:

Galion Bay is actually one of the best spot of St Maarten both for freeriding and wave riding.
